There are honeymoons—and then there’s Seychelles.
Where luxury tiptoes through the palms, the ocean hums your love story, and each sunrise feels like it was painted just for you. Scattered like sapphires across the Indian Ocean, these 115 untouched islands blend wild beauty with world-class indulgence.
This isn’t just a destination—it’s the benchmark for barefoot luxury and romance so cinematic, it feels like a scene from your favorite love story.
Think starlit dinners on powder-soft beaches. Private villas where infinity pools kiss the horizon. Champagne sunsets and mornings wrapped in silk sheets and birdsong. Here, exclusivity isn’t optional—it’s the atmosphere.
Whether you’re drifting between coral isles on a private yacht, indulging in cliffside spa rituals, or dining under a blanket of constellations, every moment in Seychelles is designed to feel like forever.
Not just a honeymoon. A story worth telling. Time and again.
Where Royalty Honeymoon—and Return
Seychelles has long been the playground of royals. When Prince William and Kate Middleton (now the Prince and Princess of Wales) tied the knot in 2011, it wasn’t Bora Bora or the Amalfi Coast they chose—it was a private villa on North Island in Seychelles. They reportedly booked out the entire island, ensuring complete privacy in the middle of paradise.
And they’re not alone. Other members of royalty, like Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway, have visited the archipelago for its seclusion and luxury. The late Princess Diana was also known to have vacationed here.
A-List Appeal: Where Celebrities Disappear to Reconnect
Seychelles has become the discreet hideaway for celebrities escaping the public eye. Beyoncé and Jay-Z, after the birth of their first child, Blue Ivy, jetted off to the Seychelles for a private retreat. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were also spotted enjoying the serenity of the islands before their split. Even George and Amal Clooney, whose taste for the refined is no secret, have reportedly considered the Seychelles among their favorite retreats.
Why? Because in the Seychelles, you’re not “seen” unless you want to be. Resorts like North Island, Fregate Island Private, and Six Senses Zil Pasyon are not only luxurious—they’re designed for those who crave elegant invisibility.
How did we land up in Seychelles ?
I still remember the spontaneous thrill of planning a trip to Seychelles—an impulse that bloomed just five days before departure, during the tail end of March and the first whispers of April. I was torn between Vietnam and Seychelles, each offering its own magic.
But something about Seychelles pulled me in—a call of turquoise waters and sun-kissed serenity. The ease of a direct IndiGo flight from Mumbai and the promise of ideal weather just beginning in April made the decision feel destined. It wasn’t just a trip—it was a beautiful surrender to the unknown, guided by instinct and sealed with sea breeze.
We spent one unforgettable week in Seychelles, exploring the lush hills and hidden beaches of Mahé, the postcard-perfect charm of La Digue with its quiet lanes and timeless bicycles, and the pristine elegance of Praslin, where the breathtaking Anse Lazio beach made our day.
Every island offered its own rhythm, its own soul. Magical in the true sense, I would say.

A World Apart
Yes, it’s remote, and yes, it’s luxurious. But trust me—Seychelles is even more breathtaking than the photos I’ve shared. What truly makes this island paradise unforgettable, though, is the feeling it leaves you with—that the rest of the world has quietly melted away, and all that remains is just the two of you. Whether you’re celebrating a milestone, planning an intimate escape, or simply yearning for something extraordinary, Seychelles isn’t just a destination that meets expectations—it quietly, exquisitely, and effortlessly exceeds them.
Indulge. Unwind. Repeat.
